Downtown District

The Downtown District is made-up of six neighborhoods, including: The Ave, The Set (West Atlantic), Pineapple Grove Arts District, Beachside, SOFA (South of Atlantic) and US1. Each area has a unique atmosphere and vibe. Below, you'll find a description of each neighborhood along with a color-coded map. Explore all that Downtown Delray has to offer by visiting each pocket of the District. 

West Atlantic

(The red area in the map below. Atlantic Avenue and I-95 east to Swinton Avenue, and one block north and one block south of Atlantic Avenue)

Vibe: Cultural

Experience the past and present of Delray Beach's earliest residents, a diverse mix of West African and Caribbean cultures. West Atlantic is also home to a hotel, art galleries & museums, restaurants, small businesses, the Public Library, and the Delray Beach Tennis Center. 

Pineapple Grove Arts District

 (The yellow area in the map below. NE 2nd Avenue to 4th Street)

Vibe: Artsy

The Pineapple Grove Arts District features an eclectic mix of boutiques, bistros, art galleries, salons, and spas. The exciting public art and Artists Alley with working artist studios beckon, as well as cutting edge entertainment at the Arts Garage. Arts Warehouse, which houses several Artists in Residence, is Pineapple Grove's newest addition.

The Ave

Vibe: Electric 

Downtown Delray's main thoroughfare of Arts &Entertainment boasts a myriad of restaurants and bars, coffee houses and nightclubs, and fun music and activities. As you stroll Atlantic Avenue, you will enjoy an impressive lineup of art galleries, unique boutiques and retailers.

SOFA (South of Atlantic)

Vibe: Up & Coming

SOFA is home to more than 650 apartments and condominiums. Hotes, boutiques, restaurants, and Class A office space create the ultimate live, work, and play experience.

US1

(Northbound and Southbound Federal Highway/US1 from SE 10th to NE 8th Street)

Vibe: Urban

Experience the beatification of Northbound and Southbound Federal Highway (US1) from SE 10th to NE 8th Street. Wider paver sidwalks, landscaping, and decorative street lights provide a welcoming walkability for the retail shops, offices and restaurants along this North/South corridor. 

Beachside

Vibe: Relaxed
 
Stroll across the Intracoastal Waterway bridge and see a glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean. With its own sense of shopping from jewelry to fashion, and surf shops to sandwicheries, the Beachside welcomes you with fabulous hotels, like The Delray Beach Marriott or The Seagate Hotel & Spa and spectacular restaurants that offer alfresco seating with an ocean breeze. Stop by the Sandoway House Nature Center, enjoy water sport activities or soak-up the sun on a gorgeous, award-wining beach.
