From the Desk of the DDA

THANK YOU to our DDA team and Board, and Downtown merchants, businesses, property owners, and residents for
your tremendous support and engagement during this past winter “season.” Our merchants are driven and unique,
and with a team effort we have all worked together to generate direct economic impact for our Downtown.

A few highlights:

• 4th Annual Delray Beach Fashion Week: 6 fashion events, over 70 models, 38 retailers and 12 salons participated,
$50,592 raised for the Achievement Centers for Children & Families.

• 9th Annual Savor the Avenue: 1,320 feet long dining table with 1,100 guests, 16 restaurants, 4,400 food courses,
$3,200 raised for the Delray Beach Public Library.

• Delray Affair After Dark: Walk “on” the Avenue, “I ♥ Downtown Delray Beach” sticker, happy hour specials, live
entertainment, First Friday Art Walk, special retailer promotions.

• Visitor Information Center: Renovations will be completed this summer!

• Security Ambassador Pilot Program: Launched this new initiative to further enhance the DDA’s Placemaking
goal of fostering a compelling destination by enhancing the physical elements of the Downtown, and its
strategy to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

• Team Delray: The DDA connected with its Delray Beach Partners: the City, CRA, Office of Economic
Development, Chamber of Commerce, WARC, Pineapple Grove Arts District, and DBMC.

As we head into summer, know that the DDA cannot do its job without the property and business owners as part of
our team – we are only as successful as you are!
