From the Desk of the DDA
Let’s celebrate 2017! The DDA team and Board are excited for this season and look forward to working with the
Downtown merchants, businesses, property owners, and residents. We are off to a positive start with a new
strategic plan. It has been a busy first quarter for the organization and the Downtown. With Hurricane Matthew
putting us all to the test in October we are thrilled to be in the full swing of season! The DDA is excited to
announce the many happenings that we are involved with Downtown, from the 4th Annual Fashion Week that
has a record number of participating merchants this year, to the production of the 9th Annual Savor the Avenue
and the biggest happening is the renovation of the Delray Beach Visitor Information Center. We are excited to
share that once the center is completed Delray Beach will be home to two state certified Visitor Centers.
Our team is here for you:
• Merchants, Business and Property Owners – We have insight, knowledge, tools, and assets to help you
navigate the City and succeed in our Downtown.
• Residents – We communicate all that is going on Downtown, and are available to educate, inform and
invite you to attend and participate. Join in on the fun!
• Stay involved, stay connected, and contact us today to take advantage of a plethora of opportunities.
• Season is here and the streets are filled with pedestrian traffic! We encourage all businesses on Atlantic
Avenue and NE/SE 2nd Avenue to stay open a little later. Also, keep your lights on whether you are or aren’t
open - people are still window shopping and may be back the next day!
