POSITION MARKETING
As an organization, the Downtown Development Authority aims to create a positive
image that showcases the downtown’s unique assets.
The Downtown Development Authority continued its focus on event
programming and execution, reimagining its programming to align with
reopening efforts in a safe, yet community-oriented fashion. Safely
allowing our community to come together, celebrate, and socialize in our
downtown was top priority as was creating activation for our businesses.
FIRST FRIDAY ARTWALK
At the transition of the year, this event moved to
a mix of virtual and in-person experiences. The
virtual events positively impacted galleries with
increased regional and national exposure.
Work continued to refine and communicate
the art experience throughout downtown with
updates to print collateral as well as the website.
The Downtown Development Authority moved
to further the inclusion of not only galleries, but
also public art, including: downtown murals, art
installations and more. Showcasing that art can
be experienced throughout downtown.
First Friday Artwalk Fashion Week 2021
DELRAY BEACH FASHION WEEK
The Downtown Development Authority hosted
Fashion Week 2021 on February 24 through 28
kicking off with a luncheon event at Sundy House.
The event was sold out, with 115 attendees and
COVID safety precautions in place. Two shopping
days, hosted by retailers, with in-store trunk shows
were held on February 25th and 26th for attendees
to shop safely-and rounded out the balance of the
weekend event.
