The 12th annual Savor the Avenue

event took place on April 26, 2021 with

a new twist. This well-sought after

event entertained 830 guests, reduced

from the traditional 1,200 attendees

due to the pandemic. The restaurant

community advocated for Savor to

continue in some capacity. With

that, the format of this year’s event

changed slightly to accommodate for

safe, distance dining at several smaller

well-appointed, decorated tables

served by 14 downtown restaurants.

The event benefitted Community

Greening. Many Downtown

Development Authority volunteers

assisted in the successful execution

of this event, facilitating temperature

checks, and distributing lanyards,

and antibacterial spray. Our Safety

Ambassadors assisted in patrolling

the event’s footprint, encouraging

mask wearing and distancing.
