The Hot Glass art exhibition opening reception has been postponed to Saturday, October 19th from 6pm - 9pm due to Hurricane Milton and the potential impact of getting the glass art here from some of the artists on the West Coast of Florida.
“Hot Glass” is in collaboration with Benzaiten Center (https://www.benzaitencenter.org/) and other glass facilities. It is co-curated by Marusca Gatto, Cultural Arts Director, and Eli Cecil, Creative Director of Benzaiten Center
Artists from both Florida coasts, national artists as well as international glass artists will be highlighted in three galleries and the museum Atrium. A special feature of the exhibition will showcase artists from the Netflix glassblowing competition “Blown Away”.
Special events, art talks and glass art demonstrations by notable glass artists are planned at both Cornell Art Museum and Benzaiten Center during the run of the exhibition.
“The Cornell Art Museum is excited to bring together contemporary glass artists who utilize the fine art of glass making to tell a story and reflect their vision. Visitors from around the country and the Palm Beach County community are invited to look into the depths of the artwork and explore its many facets and hidden reflections.” Marusca Gatto, Cultural Arts Director
Live music and refreshments will be served, glass demonstrations on site
Exhibition will remain on view through March 2, 2025
