Special "Walk & Talk" through the new Back Room Gallery show with Khaulah Naima Nuruddin happening next Tuesday at 6pm, as a special program for the August Art Crew Meeting. All are welcome! Next Tuesday is August's Art Crew meeting, with something special this month! Khaulah Naima Nuruddin one of the Curators of the newest Exhibition in the Back Room Gallery will be giving a "walk and talk" (around 6pm) about how the show came together for the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum, and also the extension at Arts Warehouse. This is a part II of a Walk & Talk happening at the Spady Museum at 3pm. Attend both sessions!
A few days remaining for The Modernism Project in the Back Room Gallery. The 17 portraits (all oil on wood panel) featured in this Exhibition come form a larger group of 40 pieces, each of an important woman in the Modernism movement. See above are (left) Meret Oppenheimer, a painter and sculptor (You’ve probably seen her fur covered teacup and saucer from 1936). (Right) is Gertrude Stein, regarded as one of the most influential figures in Modern Art and Literature.
