Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County (SPBC) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that works to provide affordable homeownership opportunities for hardworking and deserving families in the cities of Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton, Florida. We build homes in partnership with families who demonstrate a need for housing and a willingness to work with us to purchase a home of their own. With the help of our generous supporters and volunteers, since our establishment in 1991 we have empowered over 200 families in our community to achieve their dream of owning a new home or staying in a home they already own by using our rehabilitation services.

Habitat SPBC tips our hard hats off toward the Neighborhood Officer Program and the Boynton Beach Police Department. Their unwavering support of our mission shows their commitment to not only making our community safer, but also to building a stronger community alongside Habitat’s mission. Catch them in action last Friday assisting us in providing “A Brush With Kindness”!

Thank you to the South Florida Sun Sentinel and Austen Erblat for sharing our story. It was an exciting, meaningful morning celebrating Habitat’s relationship with the Boynton Beach CRA and the City of Boynton Beach, Government, Government that will bring the five Habitat single-family homes to this Model Block initiative. This collaboration along with the generosity of the presenting home sponsors Sklar Furnishings and Publix Supermarket Charities for our first two homes of five to be built will impact each homebuyer family and the Boynton Beach community for generations to come.

This morning, we welcomed more than 100 Orangetheory Fitness Corporate Office team members to revitalize six homes in a Habitat-built community, Ocean Breeze West, in Boynton Beach, FL. These passionate and generous volunteers, led by our team of construction professionals and volunteer crew leaders, are hard at work providing “A Brush With Kindness” to transform these homes, and doing it with ear-to-ear smiles of pride! Habitat SPBC is honored by Orangetheory Fitness’ commitment to building a stronger community.

Our construction sites have been quite active this summer with local businesses supporting Habitat SPBC's mission through our Team Build program! Habitat's Team Build program allows for local businesses to bring up to 20 team members to a Habitat construction site to serve as the hands & feet of our mission, building the homes of our Habitat Partner Families. We would like to extend our gratitude to the teams from Orangetheory Fitness, Estimating Edge, The Altman Companies and Bloomingdale's for their incredible commitment to partnering alongside Habitat SPBC in building a stronger community.

Hammers. Nails. Drills. These are the things most people might list when they think about what is needed to help families build or improve a place to call home. But did you know that the list also includes cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles? Through Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes program, donated vehicles raise money to help more families. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle are used by your local Habitat to build and repair affordable homes. How to donate your car: Call 1-877-277-4344. Provide your vehicle information and contact information. Schedule your car to be picked up. Start your donation today Need help? Email us at

An exciting highlight of today’s Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl Partner Build was the participation of Florida Atlantic University’s former student athlete star Running Back, Gerald Hearns, who helped bring the Owls to a stadium cheering victory in the 2017 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl Build.

Thank you to the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl and its Executive Director Doug Mosley (who is also a Habitat for Humanity SPBC Board Member) for bringing out Bowl Partners Crocker Partners, GL Homes and Tire Kingdom this morning to help give a hand up, not hand out to a Habitat Partner Family. It was wonderful to have more than 40 executives and their employees onsite raising hammers and wielding power tools in carpentry work to install window boxes and do a wide range of interior finishings. It was great to have 2017 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl Champion FAU Athletics Running Back Gerald Hearns — who has a history of supporting Habitat for Humanity — there to cheer on and work alongside the Bowl’s Partner Builders.
