Description

Join Patrick Lamb alongside Steve Christofferson, Dan Balmer, and Ron Steen—joined by a children’s choir from the Bend area—for a heartwarming holiday celebration.

Patrick Lamb has emerged as one of the most thrilling breakout artists on the contemporary jazz and soul scene after electrifying stages worldwide alongside legends such as Bobby Caldwell, Gino Vannelli, Smokey Robinson, and two-time Grammy winner Diane Schuur. His solo career to date includes five albums and three Top 5 Billboard hits—including the acclaimed Soul Ties—and his latest single, “Mint Condition!”, debuted at number 24 on the Billboard charts and secured his third self-produced spot on SiriusXM Watercolors. Born in Mississippi and now based in Palm Beach, Florida, he was one of the youngest inductees into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame; he has also received the Independent Spirit Award from his adopted city, has won three Muddy Awards for his blues mastery, and his production company has earned both the Spirit of Portland and the Caring Heart Award. Patrick’s creative journey continues with The Thompson/Lamb Project, a collaboration with legendary guitarist Michael Thompson, whose debut single “Cocoa Butter” features star musicians John Robinson, Philippe Saisse, and Nathan East.

More than just a performance, this event is designed to strengthen the local community through collaboration with regional schools, student choirs, and families. By showcasing young, emerging talent from area schools in Delray, the concert not only highlights the importance of arts education but also gives students a meaningful opportunity to perform in a professionally produced event. Parents, educators, and friends come together to support their children, creating a vibrant, inclusive, and multi-generational holiday celebration.

This new annual tradition, centered around the lighting of the Delray Christmas Tree, represents a powerful synergy between local education and international artistry. It offers visibility and encouragement for student music programs while building pride and anticipation for a festive event that uplifts the entire community. Led by award-winning artist Patrick Lamb—honored by the Oregon Music Hall of Fame, the Children’s Cancer Association, and others—this production shines a light on what matters most: connection, creativity, and community spirit.
