A FEW HIGHLIGHTS: AND PROUD CITY PARTNER OF

• We have enhanced the Pineapple Grove Arts District neighborhood
with beautiful new decorative café street lighting over the four blocks
of NW 2nd Ave to drive awareness and traffic north from Atlantic
		 Avenue.

• With the support of Jim Peters, Founder and President, Responsible
Hospitality Institute, the DDA board and merchants are addressing the
nighttime economy in conjunction with the City of Delray Beach.

• Launched the inaugural Pineapple Grove Art and Music Fest which
brought the community together, created a block-party atmosphere,
highlighted music, food, arts, and culture, with100% of the vendors
from the Pineapple Grove Arts District, and took the lead on the 2nd
		 annual Frog Alley Caribbean Festival.

• “Be Better!” – Education took center stage for DDA staff and board
members at the International Downtown Association Conference in
San Antonio, TX with a wealth of knowledge gained to enhance
and improve our downtown. The DDA Executive Director, chosen
by IDA for the Top Issues Council on Nighttime Economy, planned
and presented at a session on the topic. Many look to downtown
Delray as a model community for positive nighttime economy
practices, a role we would not hold if not for the collaboration
between the DDA, the City and the City’s Clean & Safe Team
The DDA team also attended the IDA Placemaking & Place
Branding conference in downtown Huntsville, AL with
representatives from the City of Delray Beach.

• Elevated, upgraded and enhanced the Position Marketing focus of
the DDA including social media, public relations through media visits,
local and national advertising, and event production.

• Increased the tourism marketing efforts for Delray Beach through a
partnership with Discover the Palm Beaches, launched a DDA District
Hotel Advisory Committee, saw attendance growth and awareness
for the DDA operated Visitor Information Center, and produced
new event marketing videos and new signage in the Fort Lauderdale
		 International Airport.

• We look forward to continued collaboration with our merchants,
businesses, property owners, and residents as we all connect, grow,
sustain and live it up in our vibrant Village by the Sea.

              See you downtown!
