As of Wednesday, October 1st, the Delray Beach City Commission approved moving forward with recommendations from the Curbside and Parking Management Plan. This transition means all free parking garages and parking lots near Atlantic Avenue, between Swinton Avenue and the Intracoastal bridge, to metered parking. Side street meter rates will also be adjusted.

$12 Downtown Resident Annual Parking Permit

Downtown Derlay Beach residents can get a downtown parking permit for $12/year and avoid paying the meter or register their vehicle for FREE and get $.50/hour off the meter rate. Learn more:

EMPLOYEE PARKING PERMIT PILOT PROGRAM

Who’s Eligible?
• Employees and business owners working in Downtown Delray’s Central Business District.

How Does it Work?
Employees with the permit can park anywhere in downtown for any length of time except Atlantic Ave and A1A.

What You’ll Need:
•Valid driver’s license
•Vehicle registration
•Proof of employment (pay stub, or notarized letter)

Important Details:
•This is a 6-month pilot program and is subject to change based on feedback.
•Permits must be renewed monthly to confirm continued employment in Downtown.
•Employers MAY cover permit costs for their staff.
•Purchase permits at the Park Delray office (bottom of OSS Garage, 95 NE 1st Ave).

IMPACTED PARKING AREAS:

• Garages: Delray Old School Square, Robert Federspiel, 4th & 5th Garage (IPIC building)

• Lots: Railroad, Village, Gladiola, Veteran’s Park and Banker’s Row

• Metered Side Streets: NE/SE 1st–4th Avenues one block north and south of Atlantic Avenue

NEW RATES:
• Garages: $1.50/hour Enforcement: all day and night
• Railroad, Gladiola, Village & Veterans Park Lots: $2/hour • 4-hour limit • Enforcement: 11am - 9pm Sunday - Thursday & 11am - 2am Friday & Saturday
• Banker’s Row Lot: $2/hour • 4-hour limit • Enforcement: 8am - 8pm
• Side Streets: $3/hour (only applies to already metered streets one block off Atlantic Avenue. Free on-street parking will remain free for now) Enforcement: 11am - 9pm Sunday - Thursday and 11am - 2am Friday & Saturday
