Downtown Development Authority Annual Budget
The Downtown Development Authority is the downtown management organization, created by the State of Florida in 1971 in response to an overwhelming need and desire from property and business owners for oversight and economic development of downtown.
Charged with reinvesting the ad valorem tax (which funds the Downtown Development Authority) back into the downtown, the Downtown Development Authority focuses on three main areas of interest to help promote downtown property and business owners within the Downtown Development Authority District.
Through Marketing, Placemaking, and Economic Vitality, the Downtown Development Authority stimulates, enhances, and sustains the economic strength of Downtown Delray Beach and the quality of life enjoyed by locals and visitors. The Downtown Development Authority team continues to promote, strengthen, and support all the businesses and stakeholders in the Downtown Development Authority district.
