Delray’s Holiday Glow-Up: The 100-Foot Tree Lighting Celebration
Kick off the holiday season with one of Delray Beach’s most beloved traditions, the lighting of our iconic 100-foot Christmas Tree! Join us as Santa flips the switch and brings the tree to life in a dazzling display of lights and holiday cheer.
Once the tree is aglow, step inside the tree to explore the story of our “Village by the Sea” through whimsical, animated holiday scenes. Then, stroll through Santa’s Holiday Village, where you’ll find ice skating, a carousel, mini golf, and a chance to meet Santa inside his charming house.
The celebration doesn’t stop there! Atlantic Avenue will be closed to traffic from Swinton Ave to NE 5th Ave so you can enjoy a festive, walkable evening filled with food, games, carolers, and a silent disco -perfect for families and friends to soak in the holiday spirit together.
🎁 Did You Know?
Delray’s famous Christmas Tree began as a 50-foot tree in 1993, purchased by the Downtown Development Authority to help revitalize the city’s downtown. Two years later, it grew to 100 feet to celebrate Delray Beach’s Centennial - 100 feet for 100 years! What began as an effort to bring light to our community has since become one of South Florida’s most cherished holiday traditions.
✨ Enjoy the tree and Santa’s Village through New Year’s Day!
