Catch a wave and step back in time with the Delray Beach Historical Society's Summer at Sea Outdoor Movie Series! Join us on August 20 for a special outdoor screening of the classic beach film Gidget (1959).
This beloved coming-of-age story follows spirited teenager Frances “Gidget” Lawrence as she discovers surfing, friendship, and young romance during a transformative summer on the Southern California coast. Filled with sunshine, surf culture, and vintage charm, Gidget helped launch America's surfing craze. Please note that the film contains some adult themes; viewer discretion is advised.
