The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority is proud to support Run with the Chief On The Avenue, a community walk and run taking place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Downtown Delray Beach. Led by Police Chief Hunter alongside members of the Delray Beach Police Department, this event is designed to encourage community engagement, wellness, and connection throughout the downtown district.
The event will begin and end at Libby Wesley Plaza, located at SW 5th Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. Participants will follow a one-mile route traveling east along Atlantic Avenue, north on NE 2nd Avenue through Pineapple Grove, around the NE 2nd Street roundabout, and back west on Atlantic Avenue to conclude at Libby Wesley Park.
Event Schedule:
• Setup and road closures begin at 6:30 AM
• Event start time: 8:00 AM
• Event end time: 9:00 AM
• Breakdown and road reopening: 9:30 AM
Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate, whether walking or running, and enjoy a morning of fitness and fellowship in Downtown Delray Beach.
