Join us on September 29th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM for the Community Classroom Project's first annual Kugel Cook-Off!
This family-friendly indoor event (rain or shine!) is all about fun, flavor and a little friendly competition to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
Kugel lovers, unite! Whether you prefer yours savory or sweet, this is your chance to taste them all. Who will take the crown? YOU get to be the judge! Sample each scrumptious entry and vote for your favorite in this epic battle of Rosh Hashanah's most beloved dish. We'll also have a spread of mouthwatering brunch sides, a bubbly mimosa bar for the grown-ups and fun entertainment for both kids and adults.
It's all for a fantastic cause-supporting the incredible programs of the Community Classroom Project. So bring your appetite, your family and your best taste-testing skills because this is one event you don't want to miss! The winners take home fabulous prizes, and everyone leaves with a smile. Noodle Kugel Cook-Off Event Rules
1. Entry Fee - Each entrant must pay a non-refundable $25 entry fee to participate in the competition.
Guests can purchase tickets $25 for adults and $15 for kids.
2. Eligibility - This competition is open to all ages and skill levels. Both sweet and savory noodle kugels are welcome.
3. Ingredients - All noodle kugels must be homemade.
4. Preparation - Entrants must prepare their noodle kugels at home and bring them to the event ready to be served. Each kugel must be presented in an oven-safe dish for potential reheating. Please bring your own 8x10 paper signage with your name, whether it's sweet or savory and any other info about your dish you want to share. We will provide an 8x10 frame.
5. Portion Size - Each entrant should prepare enough kugel to provide at least 100 bite-sized portions.
6. Event Day - Participants must arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the event starts to set up their station. Each station will be provided with a serving utensil and tasting cups/plates. Brunch sides and drinks will be served for all guests and are included in the ticket price. The Mimosa bar will be open for 21+ - tips will benefit the Community Classroom Project.
7. Judging Criteria - The attendees of the event will taste each kugel and vote for their favorite. Votes will be based on taste, presentation, and creativity.
8. Voting Process - Each attendee will be given two raffle tickets upon entry in order to vote for their favorite kugel. Tickets will be tallied at the end of the event, and the kugel with the most votes in each category - Savory and Sweet - wins.
9. Awards - Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category, with special recognition for the favorite kugel overall.
