Delray Beach Municipal Beach has once again achieved something truly special, earning the Blue Flag designation for the fourth consecutive year. This is a globally recognized symbol of excellence in environmental protection, safety, accessibility, and education.

This international honor is awarded only to beaches that meet 33 strict criteria, making it one of the most respected environmental certifications in the world.
So what sets Delray apart? It’s the everyday care and commitment behind the scenes, including a beautifully maintained shoreline, strong lifeguard and ocean rescue partnerships, ongoing community education and eco-focused events, and a continued dedication to sustainability and conservation.
We’re also proud to be part of Palm Beach County, which made history as the first in the United States to fly two Blue Flags in a single season.
Most importantly, this achievement belongs to the community. From city staff, The Beach Keepers Inc., lifeguards, volunteers, and residents. It’s the people of Delray Beach who help keep our shoreline clean, safe, and thriving year after year.
