Celebrate the artistry and energy of jazz with Grammy Award-winning flutist Néstor Torres at Arts Garage. Blending his Caribbean heritage with classical training and jazz improvisation, Torres has developed a dynamic sound that is uniquely his own.
With 18 recordings, five Latin Grammy nominations, a Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album, and a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Jazz Album, Torres has spent his career pushing the boundaries of his craft.
In celebration of International Jazz Day on April 30, Torres will pay tribute to the jazz artists who influenced and mentored him, performing selections from his Latin Grammy-nominated album Jazz Flute Traditions. The evening will also feature plenty of the vibrant Latin jazz that has become synonymous with the Néstor Torres sound.
