Carnival is a celebration of joy, curiosity, and the thrill of artistic exploration. Whether through vibrant color, unconventional materials, or surreal storytelling, Carnival is an invitation to revel in the magic of creativity.
When I Thought We Could Be Kids Forever by Semexant evolved from the difference between how Black life is often imagined within dominant cultural narratives and the reality of the artist own lived experience, through paintings of family, community, and childhood, where personal memories contribute to a more holistic picture of contemporary Black life.
