2024 Delray Beach Open Sizzle Reel

Description

The Delray Beach Open kicks off Friday, February 7 and goes through February 16, 2025 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center in Downtown Delray Beach. Celebrating its 33rd year, the 2025 tournament promises to build upon the spectacular success of its previous years and raise what is already considered a very high bar.

The ATP Tour’s first North American hard-court event of the outdoor season annually plays in front of over 60,000 fans and reaches television audiences in over 100 countries.

New this year: The Delray Beach Open Food & Wine Series, which will feature five VIP events every single night of week with over 40 of the top restaurants, food purveyors, and spirit partners in South Florida showcasing there tasting bites and cocktails to the masses. New events are the ‘Grand Tasting’ and ‘Valentine’s & Volleys: A Taste of Italy,’ which will join the ever-popular Burgers, Bourbon & Brew, Tacos, Tequila & Tennis and crowd favorite Game, Set, Pour.

The Tennis: Returning this year: Top ranked American Taylor Fritz (World No. 4) and countryman Tommy Paul (World No. 9) both will return; Fritz is vying to win the Delray Beach Open for the third time. Taylor Fritz will play his first match in the quest for a historic three-peat on Thursday night, Feb. 13 not before 8 p.m. at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. Players looking to snap Fritz’s eight-match win streak at the tournament are No. 9-ranked Tommy Paul of Boca Raton, 2022 champion Cameron Norrie, 2020 winner Reilly Opelka of Delray Beach and 2008 titlist Kei Nishikori. On the doubles side of the draw, the third-seeded team of Julian Cash of Great Britain and American Robert Galloway (the first American doubles champion in Delray Beach since the Bryan Brothers in 2020) captured their first ATP Tour title together and individually by stunning top seeds Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Neal Skupski of Great Britain. Former Delray Beach Open and Grand Slam champion Juan Martin del Potro is returning to the DBO for the first time in six years to play in the tournament’s Legends event on Opening Weekend (Feb. 7-9 that also includes the qualifying rounds for the ATP event). Alongside other Legends, del Potro will face off against Bob and Mike Bryan, the best doubles team of all time who won 16 Grand Slam titles and six DBO trophies.

Road Closure: NW 1st Avenue in front of City Hall will be closed during the tournament.
