The Nova Singers will celebrate American composers (and a popular British friend) in their upcoming concert series “Blue Skies and Jubilant Songs.”

The program will explore the variety of American music, from Broadway to Hollywood to the American Songbook to spirituals. The concert also will include music from “The Lion King,” by Sir Elton John, a favorite composer from Great Britain.

The chorus, under the direction of Chuck Stanley, will be accompanied by pianist Anthony Ciotti and other instrumentalists.

Sunday, May 19, 4 p.m. First Presbyterian Church, 33 Gleason Street, Delray Beach 33483.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Children 12 and younger, plus students any age with school ID, are admitted free. Advance tickets are available at https://tinyurl.com/NovaMay24Concerts.
The Nova Singers is Nova Southeastern University’s community chorus, whose members range from Nova undergraduate students to senior members of the local community. Auditions are held each year in September, January and March. Membership is open to adult singers of all ages. Find out more about becoming a Nova Singer here.
