Opening Reception “Icons of Art Italian Mosaic Portraits” Exhibition at the Cornell Art Museum
The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) invites the public to the opening of the Cornell Art Museum’s upcoming exhibition “ICONS of ART Italian Mosaic Portraits” on February 15, 2025.
The new exhibition will showcase 30 original, one-of-a-kind hand crafted mosaic portraits of famous personalities, representing a variety of cultural fields.
Featured artists include Gene Wilder, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kobe Bryant, Frida Kahlo, Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sophia Loren, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie, Mohammed Ali, Basquiat and more.
When: Saturday, February 15, 2025 - 6-9PM
Where: Cornell Art Museum
Cost: Free and open to the public. Donations are accepted
The exhibition will be on view February 15 - June 15, 2025.
The exhibition is curated by Marusca Gatto, Cultural Arts Director at the Delray DDA, in collaboration with Guglielmo Zanette, Artistic Director of the Naonis Association, creator of the Concorso Mosaic Young Talent, from the prestigious Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, a world-famous mosaic school.
